Wilwood TC 6R Radial Mount calipers represent a generation of refinement in big brake technology. Six stainless steel pistons captured within a massive high-strength forged aluminum body generate the stopping power and durability to handle the heavy loads of custom late model trucks and sport utility vehicles.

TC 6R calipers are forged from premium-grade, billet aluminum alloy blanks. FEA (finite element analysis) technology was employed to develop a design that minimizes weight and maximizes rigidity. These calipers generate unmatched pad clamping efficiency through six thick-walled, stainless steel pistons that resist corrosion and reduce the heat transferred from the pads into the caliper body, seals, and fluid.

Key features of Wilwood TC 6R Radial Mount calipers include:

* Accommodates 1.38 in. thick rotors up to 16 in. in diameter
* Six high-strength, coated, steel alloy cross bridge bolts add strength against deflection and body separation
* Steel insert plates protect the bridges against wear and gouging from the load-bearing edges of the brake pad
* Heavier piston walls add strength
* Differential piston bore design from Wilwood racing calipers
* Clamping pressure is proportionately distributed to provide balanced pad loading with even wear properties
* Piston bore volumes are configured for compatibility with OE master cylinders and boosters
* Rubber-dampened fluid transfer tubes and recessed 2-piece bleed screws
* Bridge-mounted pad-dampening springs reduce vibration, road rattle, and harmonics that cause squeal and other brake noise
* Choice of finishes for high-tech style and a total custom look

Customer Questions
Can you put brake calipers on wrong?
Yes, on some vehicles, the caliper can be installed on the wrong side. Because you can't bleed off the air that builds at the top of the caliper, the bleeder screw will now be on the bottom, and you'll never have a firm pedal.
Why don't my brakes work after adding calipers?
One of the main reasons why your brakes don't work after adding calipers is because you have air in the line and need to bleed the brakes at all four wheels.
What happens if you don't grease calipers?
If all the friction points of your caliper go unlubricated the pads will not slide from side to side easily and you will more likely have pulsing brakes and intermittent brake drag noises. The drag noise is usually more apparent at low speeds.
Can dirty brake fluid cause calipers to stick?
Dirty brake fluid can result in the calipers sticking, cause uneven braking, and even in some cases cause brake failure. It's important to regularly check and maintain your brake fluid to ensure the safety and performance of your vehicle's braking system...
How do you reset a brake caliper?
You can reset your brake caliper by pushing a flat blade screwdriver in between the brake pads and twisting it. This will separate the brake pads and, in turn, push back the pistons to the reset position
