The Wilwood AERO4 Big Brake Rear Axle Kit (Part #140-10941-D) is designed as a technical upgrade for late-model high-performance vehicles and Chevy C10 trucks with 5-lug axles and a 2.42” offset. This kit fully replaces the original rear brakes with a high-capacity system that matches front big brake upgrades, using AERO4 four-piston callipers for strong and consistent braking power. The 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors provide superior heat dissipation, reducing the risk of brake fade during repeated stops. High-friction BP-20 brake pads further improve pedal feel and stopping control, while compatibility with ABS and OE master cylinders ensures reliable operation. HOW INSTALLATION WORKS

The bracket kit is mounted first, followed by the installation of rotors onto the hats and then onto the axle studs, checking if the studs require modification. Calliper mounting brackets and spacers are shimmed as needed, and callipers are mounted over the rotors with pads installed. Brake lines and parking brake cables are not included and must be sourced separately. The kit is designed to reuse the OE drum-style parking brake. Proper bleeding of the system and bedding of pads and rotors are required before driving.
