The Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brake FDLI Front Kit (Part #140-11071-DR) is built for 1965-1969 Ford Mustangs using either disc or drum spindles. It features forged Dynalite callipers, 11” vented rotors, high-quality hubs, and all critical hardware. These technical improvements support stronger, more consistent pedal feel and heat management for daily use or spirited driving. Rotor venting reduces brake fade, and premium hardware ensures reliable assembly. The kit is compatible with manual or power master cylinders, covers both 3-bolt and 4-bolt spindle designs, and is made to clear most popular 15” wheels. All necessary parts for a proper mechanical upgrade—such as adapters, shims, bearings, and wheel spacers—are included, with dedicated attention to ensuring proper fit and wheel clearance.

INSTALLATION DETAILS
This kit is mostly bolt-on; however, some 3-bolt 1968-69 Mustang disc spindles require drilling, tapping, and countersinking, as described in the instructions. Both 3-bolt and 4-bolt spindle hardware is included. Prepare by photographing your current brake setup for reference, then remove the old brakes down to the bare spindles. Clean all components before assembly. Pack the new bearings with high-temperature grease. Use red Loctite 271 where specified and torque all fasteners to instructed values. Brake lines must be upgraded to 1/8-27 NPT flexible lines (Wilwood P/N 220-12168 recommended). Use included wheel spacers or hub shields if needed. After assembly, follow the specified bleeding and bedding procedures for best performance.
