The Wilwood Street Performance FDL Rear P-Brake Kit (part #140-7582-DR) is a rear brake upgrade for Big Ford new style axles with a 2.36” offset. It’s built with Wilwood’s Forged Dynalite callipers and drilled, vented 12.19” rotors for enhanced stopping power and improved heat dissipation. The kit includes BP-10 compound pads for reliable street performance and comes with hardware to help with proper installation and rotor/calliper alignment. Compatible with various axle register diameters through supplied and optional adapters, the kit is made for easier fitment on Ford big-bearing axles. This system supports vehicles that need better braking capability and a parking brake, making it a strong technical choice for classic, street, or upgrade projects.

INSTALLATION DETAILS
Installation should be performed by someone experienced with disc brakes. Always verify axle flange, offset, and wheel clearance before beginning. Remove the drum brakes, clean axle flanges, and use supplied shims for rotor/calliper centring. Torque all fasteners as outlined in the instructions and use red Loctite. You’ll need stainless braided brake hoses (not included), and you may need to adapt or custom-fit the parking brake cables. Bleed the brakes following the farthest calliper first and break in pads and rotors with Wilwood’s bedding procedure before regular use.

- Use proper register adapter for axle; 2.80” supplied, others available
- Intended for 1/2” wheel studs; upgrade required for 7/16” OEM studs
- Rubber OE hoses not compatible: use stainless braided lines with 1/8-27 NPT calliper ends
- Parking brake cables are not included and may require a custom setup
