The Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brake FDLI Front Kit (12.19", Drilled, Polished) is built to deliver higher braking capacity and better heat management for classic muscle cars like the 1967-69 Camaro, 1964-72 Nova, and Chevelle. Designed around large vented rotors and forged billet aluminium 6-piston callipers, the kit offers stronger, more consistent stopping power with less fade during demanding use. It includes high-performance BP-10 Smart Pads for reliable braking with minimal noise or dust. The kit is made to work with factory master cylinders and most original ABS setups. Oversized rotors increase heat dissipation, while multi-piston callipers give a larger contact area for more even pressure on the pads, helping both street and performance driving.

INSTALLATION DETAILS
Installing this kit requires moderate to advanced brake experience. You’ll remove existing brakes, prepare the spindle, and assemble the hub, rotor, and calliper bracket using specific torque values and shims to achieve proper alignment. Bearings must be packed with high-temperature grease and properly seated. The kit does not include brake flex lines; Wilwood braided flex lines and appropriate steel adapters are recommended. All-wheel clearances must be checked, with a minimum of .080" between the calliper and wheel verified. The brake system must be bled carefully, and pads and rotors should be properly bedded in. Always test pedal firmness and wheel clearance before use. Some spindle applications require modification or removal of calliper mounting “ears” that may obstruct installation.
