The CPP Street Beast HydraStop Kit is engineered for 1964-72 A Body, 1967-69 F Body, and 1968-74 X Body GM platforms and provides a direct mount hydraulic assist upgrade for muscle car and restomod builds. These vehicles are frequently equipped with upgraded suspension, larger brakes, and performance engines that can reduce available vacuum assist. HydraStop eliminates that limitation by using power steering pressure to generate up to 1800 psi at the wheels for consistent, responsive braking performance. This complete Street Beast kit includes a black direct mount aluminum bracket, rubber high pressure hoses with return lines, AN6 fittings installed, 1 1/8 inch bore master cylinder, mounting hardware, and black accumulator cover. Designed specifically for classic GM performance platforms seeking improved pedal feel and braking control without reliance on engine vacuum. All HydraStop systems are brand new assemblies backed by a limited lifetime warranty when installed with proper hydraulic filtration.

what type of power steering pump do i need for this?
The power steering pump recommended for this CPP HydraStop Hydraulic Brake (part # 6474HBK-SB) would be either a GM Type II or GM Saginaw type pump with a minimum flow of 2.25 GPM and 1200 PSI.

Instructions recommend a filter but do not say the best place to install it. I would think between the pump and the Hydrastop (Hi Pressure line) but CPPM sells the filter with push lock connectors which I assume are NOT for Hi Pressure lines. Where does the filter go?
Hello! The best place will be on the return hose to the reservoir, only due high pressure causing damaged to the filter.
