"The CPP Complete 575 Series Power Steering Conversion Kit, Part Number CPP5864PSK-BB-CK-575, is designed for 1958-64 Chevy Full Size applications equipped with a 396-454 Big Block Chevy engine and factory non tilt steering column. This complete bolt in system delivers modern steering performance while providing all the major components needed for a complete steering system upgrade.
At the heart of this kit is the all new CPP 575 Series Power Steering Gearbox. Designed from the ground up with all new construction and zero legacy carryover, the 575 Series delivers improved steering feel, increased stability, and enhanced driver confidence. CPP's exclusive dual thrust bearing design allows the gearbox to be preloaded, creating exceptional on center feel while helping reduce unwanted steering wheel movement from road inputs.
The 575 Series also features a massive 75mm piston, progressive valve technology, and a quicker steering ratio for responsive steering assist, improved road feel, and precise steering control. The compact shortened housing design provides excellent fitment and eliminates radiator clearance concerns commonly associated with steering box conversions on 1958-64 Chevy Full Size vehicles.
