Engine Perches

What are engine perches?
Engine Perches or Motor Perches create a strong connection between the engine and the frame of your vehicle. Rubber or polyurethane motor mounts holds the engine in place and absorbs the vibration from the road and engine.
Do I need to make any modifications to mount these?
On most of the pedestals (perches) you can use the factory mounting holes. For the 1955-57 we offer both factory front mounts and the side relocation mounts. Please note, the side relocation mounts will require some modification to the cross member.
Can I replace my engine perches (mounts) myself?
We normally recommend have professional assistance when replacing your engine perches. The ease and ability of replacing your engine perches yourself comes down to your mechanical skill and the tools and equipment you have accessable. Replacing them requires lifting the engine with an engine hoist and can be complex.
