The CPP front disc brake kit, part number 5557SWBK-DC7B, is designed for 1955–57 Chevy full size vehicles and features a precision bolt on spindle with a 2 inch drop to lower ride height while maintaining factory suspension geometry. This design improves stance without introducing steering or alignment issues.
This kit includes 13 inch drilled and slotted rotors paired with C5 twin piston calipers finished in black, along with stainless steel brake hoses for consistent braking performance and pedal feel. The system utilizes a Corvette style sealed hub assembly based on a C7 bearing design with a double row ball bearing arrangement to reduce flex at the spindle pin and improve caliper stability under load.
The C7 hub features a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern with a 10 hole layout, supplied with 7/16 x 20 studs and provisions for optional 1/2 x 20 wheel studs. A minimum 17 inch wheel is required. This brake kit is compatible with 1955–57 Chevy full size applications.
