The CPP Small Block Engine Perches (Part #6372Mp-SM) are laser-cut and designed to offer maximum header clearance while providing exceptional strength. These bolt-in perches utilize the forward-most two holes on the frame for easy installation. For optimal performance, pair them with CPP Poly-Graphite Motor Mounts (Part #CP-1114G). Additionally, they are compatible with LS and Vortec engines when used with CPP LS Conversion Plates (LS1-KU-P or LS1-KULAC-P).
Engine Perches or Motor Perches create a strong connection between the engine and the frame of your vehicle. Rubber or polyurethane motor mounts holds the engine in place and absorbs the vibration from the road and engine.
Will these lower the mounting height, (compared to stock mounting height) in a 70 C10 with a 350 SBC? Or is there mounting pads I can get that would lower the mounting height?
Yes the part 6372MP-BM will work, you'll need to drill at least one hole in the cross member.
Do I need to make any modifications to mount these?
On most of the pedestals (perches) you can use the factory mounting holes. For the 1955-57 we offer both factory front mounts and the side relocation mounts. Please note, the side relocation mounts will require some modification to the cross member.
