CPP's Return Policy
Classic Performance Products, Inc. (CPP) prides itself on offering quality parts for an affordable price and that means guaranteeing your satisfaction. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we invite you to review our policy on returns, refunds and exchanges as outlined below.
Merchandise may be returned for refund, store credit, or exchanges within 30 days of receipt. Refunds will not be issued for products that have been used, altered, or broken. Additionally, certain products are not eligible for return:
- Special-order merchandise
- Electrical components
- Parts that have been modified, abused, or show signs of installation
You can start you return process by filling out our online return form by logging into your customer account - or by using our guest return page located at the bottom of the web page. You can also start your return process by contacting our sales and customer service team at (800) 522-5004 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
All returns must be authorized and pre-approved. To help better understand the reason for your return, we may require additional information such as photos or videos of your product.
All items being returned to us must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA Number). You will receive this number from our team once your Return Request has been approved. If we are providing you with a return label, your RMA Number will be located on the label.
To prepare your items to be shipped back to us, please properly packaged all items to avoid damage during shipment.
If you are paying to return the item and were not supplied a return label, please have the RMA number boldly marked on the outside of each box. All returns being sent back must be paid for in advance unless a label is being provided by us. Freight collect and COD returns will not be accepted.
Please note that returns without an RMA number will be refused.
Please include the following with your return:
- Original packing slip
- Description of the problem
- Your name, address and phone number
All product returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. For some returns,
the restock fee may be eligible to be waived if the refund for store credit
option is selected. Additional fees may be assessed based on the condition
of the parts returned. Freight charges will not be refunded.
A 20% restocking
fee will be deducted from your refund if (but not limited to) the following
conditions occur:
- The return item is damaged in transit back to us.
- If the return is over 30 days since the item was delivered.
- If the item was refused.
- If the item was installed, used or in an unsellable condition.
- If the item was purchased by mistake or you no longer need the item.
Once received, your return will be inspected by a CPP Team Member. The inspection period is generally 3-5 business once received but may be longer during high-volume periods.
After inspection, if your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original payment method. Items purchased with cash will be refund via check. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
If an exchange is preferred, we will initiate the exchange. Exchanges must be for equal or greater value than the original purchase. Costs in excess of the exchange amount must be paid at the time of the exchange.
Refunds or credits may be adjusted based on parts returned condition.
If your return is covered by warranty and after inspection, is proven defective, the item(s) will be repaired and returned to you. If we cannot repair the item, the item will be replaced at CPPs discretion. The warranty does not cover reimbursement of labor costs or incidental damages (if any). We require proof of purchase for all warranty return and replacements for CPP products not purchased directly from us. All items and all packages must be inspected upon receipt. Do not accept packages that are damaged. If you receive a package that has been damaged or opened, make a claim with the driver or carrier at that time. All claims of loss, concealed damage, damage or other destruction must be made by you with the carrier. It is the responsibility of the delivering carrier to deliver the merchandise in good condition. Save all boxes and packing materials, as the carrier may want to inspect it. Any shortages not the fault of the carrier must be reported within 72 hours of receiving the order. If merchandise is being returned due to a defect, please give a detailed description of the defect. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt. Customers must notify our Customer Service department of missing and wrong parts within 72 hours of receiving the merchandise, by either filling out the Return Merchandise Authorization form on our website or by calling our Sales Department at (800) 522-5004.
Exchange items will be of the same or greater value. Customers are responsible for paying the price difference.
Returns for CPP products not purchased directly from us may be available
on certain items if purchased through one of our official CPP Authorized
Dealers. We only accept returns placed from Official CPP Authorized Dealers.

Dealer Locator page located at the bottom of the page or by using this link.
We do not refund you directly for an item being returned to us that you
purchased through a CPP Dealer. We will refund the Dealer and the Dealer
will refund you per their own policy and discretion. For this reason, we
require that the CPP Dealer reaches out to us to initiate the return process.
To start the return process for an item purchased through one of these Dealers, we recommend reaching out the company the item was purchased from so they can contact us regarding the return. We require proof of purchase for all returns for items purchased through a CPP Dealer.
