CPP HydraStop Kits are high-performance hydraulic assist brake systems designed to upgrade manual or vacuum-assisted brakes to modern, compact hydraulic units. Powered by your power steering pump, these kits provide exceptional braking performance. The direct bolt-in design includes a high-performance hydraulic brake assist unit, billet aluminum firewall mounting bracket, rubber high-pressure lines, a heavy-duty power steering return line, and all necessary hardware. With up to 1800 psi at the wheels, these systems ensure superior braking power and ease of installation with standard tools.

The "Street Beast" package features a black billet bracket, an aluminum Corvette-style master cylinder, a \Prop & Stop Block, and rubber pressure and return hoses, making it the perfect braking upgrade for your 1964-1972 A-Body, 1967-1969 F-Body, or 1968-1974 X-Body.

what type of power steering pump do i need for this?
The power steering pump recommended for this CPP HydraStop Hydraulic Brake (part # 6474HBK-SB) would be either a GM Type II or GM Saginaw type pump with a minimum flow of 2.25 GPM and 1200 PSI.

Instructions recommend a filter but do not say the best place to install it. I would think between the pump and the Hydrastop (Hi Pressure line) but CPPM sells the filter with push lock connectors which I assume are NOT for Hi Pressure lines. Where does the filter go?
Hello! The best place will be on the return hose to the reservoir, only due high pressure causing damaged to the filter.
