The Wilwood Street Performance AERO6 Big Brake Front Kit (Part #140-10920-DR) is built for high-demand applications, giving classic cars like the 1967-1969 Camaro and 1967-1974 Nova greater stopping power. The system features large-capacity AERO6 six-piston callipers and 14" vented, directional rotors for improved heat management and durability during repeated or heavy braking. These rotors direct airflow to keep temperatures down, reducing the risk of fade. Adjustable shim sets and spacers allow precise alignment on factory discs or drum spindles, while the kit’s components are made from durable steel and aluminium for long service life. High-performance brake pad compounds give better friction than stock, and all hardware needed for installation is included (except brake lines, which must be sourced separately). This kit is designed to work with larger wheels and tyres and is fully compatible with OE master cylinders and ABS functions.

INSTALLATION DETAILS

The kit is designed for installation on compatible disc or drum brake spindles. Some spindles may require minor modifications, like drilling mounting holes or removing unused calliper ears. All parts use adjustable shims and spacers for correct rotor and calliper alignment. Bearings must be packed with high-temperature grease, and hardware should be installed using the recommended torque specifications and red Loctite 271 on critical fasteners. You must supply and install new stainless steel braided brake lines, as OE lines will not fit the callipers. After assembly, bleed the system using recommended high-temp fluid and follow a controlled bedding-in process to ensure reliable performance. Wheel and rotor clearance should be checked before final assembly.
