The Wilwood Forged Dynapro Low-Profile Rear Parking Brake Kit is mde for Chevy 12-bolt rear axles and allows fitment behind most 14-inch or 15-inch wheels (verify wheel clearance before installation). This complete kit includes forged billet Dynapro low-profile four-piston calipers, vented 11.00-inch one-piece hat and rotor assemblies (plain, drilled, or slotted options), and a fully integrated, internal shoe-style parking brake mechanism. High-friction brake pads, all mounting brackets, and hardware are included.

Designed for muscle cars and custom builds, the kit delivers consistent, reliable street or strip performance, while offering extra clearance ideal for vehicles running smaller-diameter wheels. Optional caliper finishes (black or red) and rotor configurations allow for customized appearance and performance.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

Installation requires experience with disc brake systems and careful attention to detail:
- Remove the original rear brakes and prep the axle housing flange by cleaning off any debris and burrs.
- Mount the bracket assembly using the provided OEM hardware with red Loctite® 271.
- Install the rotor registration adapter and align the 3.06” centre I.D. hat/rotor with the axle studs.
- Mount the callipers with the appropriate shims to centre the rotor in the calliper aperture.
- Adjust the parking brake cable, ensuring a straight routing with a minimum bend radius of 6” to 8”.
- Bleed the brake system thoroughly and verify the pedal remains firm under load.

FITMENT AND COMPATIBILITY

This kit is designed to fit specific Chevy 12-bolt rear axle patterns. Key fit checks include:
- Verifying the axle flange mounting pattern and stud alignment.
- Measuring the axle centre register diameter, which should be 2.80 inches.
- Confirming that the distance from the axle flange face to the axle housing flange matches the rotor/calliper offset of 2.75 inches.
- Upgrading OEM 7/16” studs to 1/2” if necessary.
- Ensuring the maximum axle flange diameter does not exceed 6.61” with the required chamfer.
