FDLI Pro-Series Park Brake Kit, Impala 59-64 / Corvette 57-62
This Wilwood Big Brake FDLI Pro-Series Park Brake Kit provides a complete rear disc conversion for 1959–1964 Chevrolet Impala and 1957–1962 Chevrolet Corvette rear axles. The kit replaces the factory drum system with a modern disc setup featuring forged Dynalite four-piston calipers, a 12.19-inch vented rotor, and high-friction BP-10 compound pads. The integrated internal shoe-style parking brake supports clean installation and static holding power. With direct bolt-on compatibility and precision-machined parts, the system is built to deliver consistent braking and upgrade the performance of classic rear-wheel-drive vehicles.
The calipers are made from forged billet aluminum and offered in standard or optional red finishes. The rotor is a one-piece vented design and can be ordered as a standard ULHP version or as an SRP drilled and slotted rotor with black coating for improved cooling and pad engagement. All mounting hardware is included, and fasteners are treated with red Loctite® 271 for durability. This kit is designed to function with upgraded 1/2-inch wheel studs and is centered using shims to match the axle flange spacing for proper caliper alignment.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

Hydraulic lines, fittings, and parking brake cables are not included and must be sourced separately. After mounting, follow a sequential brake bleeding procedure to remove air from the lines and achieve consistent pedal feel.
