The CPP Frame Mount Manual Master Cylinder and Bracket Kit (Part Number 5559MMK-24) is designed for 55-59 Chevy Trucks. It includes a complete kit with a valve for 2 and 4 wheel disc systems. Features a 1" bore for optimal performance.
The master cylinder reservoir should always hold enough fluid to allow the brake pads to completely wear away without the risk of running out of fluid. As a disc brake pad wears, the caliper piston will extend out of its bore. As the caliper piston extends, the master cylinder fluid level will drop in order to fill the caliper bore with brake fluid. If the reservoir is too small, there is a possibility that the master cylinder can run out of fluid and the brakes will fail.
Is this kit a direct fit on a 1956 Chevy 3100 pu with front disc/rear drum brakes without making any modifications?
This will not require any major modifications. You may need to drill a hole or two.

The photo on Ebay shows the proportioning valve tucked underneath the master cylinder, but the instructions show it below and off to the side. Which one is correct? Thank you.
Our 5559MMK-24 will come with the valve mounted underneath the master cylinder.
My truck has manual brakes frame mounted with manual transmission; will this kit work with manual transmission?
Hello! If your truck has a bell housing transmission will require some mods, but if you have a tail shaft mounted transmission then it will work with no mods.
