I have a 1964 Impala with larger cross flow radiator and a manual steering box with factory power steering. I found the 1979 Chevy Malibu power steering box (i believe a 605) is smaller and will clear radiator with the proper adaptor plate. I have seen this done on a couple cars at shows. Will this plate adapt that steering gear?

Hello, the 605 box commonly found in a 1979 Chevy Malibu will work with the #5864SMB-K but we cannot guarantee the steering box will clear the radiator.
