When it comes to lowering your 1963–1972 Chevy C10, stance is everything. But if you’re dropping the rear four inches or more, there’s one upgrade you absolutely can’t ignore: a properly engineered C-notch. Today we’re breaking down how to get the most rear suspension travel possible without destroying ride quality or compromising frame integrity, and why the Classic Performance Products C-Notch Kit is one of the smartest upgrades you can make.
A C-notch is referred to the C-shape cut you will need to do on the frame to allow for more suspension travel for lowered application. The C-notch kits we offer are reinforcement brackets to strengthen your frame.
When will I need to C-notch my frame?
We recommend using the C-notch when you plan to lower your truck 4 or more inches.
