CPP’s Tubular Control Arms for 1971-1972 C10 trucks are engineered to deliver outstanding performance, ensuring full wheel travel and minimal friction. The upper control arms are constructed from durable 1-1/4” x .120” wall D.O.M. tubing and are specifically designed for lowered springs. The lower arms utilize robust 1-1/2” x .120” wall D.O.M. tubing, featuring thick 1-1/2” x .188” wall pivot barrels to prevent distortion during welding and under heavy use. The lower arms enhance ground clearance and support sway bar installation.
These control arms feature self-lubricating, non-squeak patented plastic bushings, providing a longer lifespan than traditional rubber or urethane, and can withstand temperatures exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The chrome-moly cross shafts and sleeves are zinc-plated for durability, with an interlocking design that keeps hardware secure. The pivot design accommodates both forward and backward loads, improving functionality over the original cross shaft pivot design.
When it comes to upgrading the suspension on a classic car or truck, quality matters. From improved handling to long-term durability, the parts you install play a major role in how your vehicle performs on the road. That’s why Classic Performance Products (CPP) focuses on designing and manufacturing many of its suspension components right here in the USA, using modern engineering tools and robotic welding technology.
