Mustang II Suspension, 13 in. Drilled and Slotted Rotors, C5 Twin Piston Red Calipers, Stainless Steel Hoses, C7 Hubs, Dual Bolt Pattern 5 x 4.5 and 5 x 4.75
The 13 in. Front Disc Brake Kit, part number M2CSD-5C-13R, is designed for Mustang II suspension systems and features Corvette style 2 in. drop spindles with a C7 sealed bearing hub assembly. This system maintains factory backspacing while allowing wheel position adjustment inboard 1/4 in. or 1/2 in. per side using the included spacers. The sealed bearing hub design eliminates flex found in traditional spindle pin setups, improving braking stability and reducing caliper pushback under load. The kit includes drilled and slotted rotors paired with C5 twin piston red aluminum calipers in a rear mount configuration, along with stainless steel brake hoses for consistent pedal feel. The C7 hub provides a dual bolt pattern of 5 x 4.5 and 5 x 4.75. Supplied with 7/16 x 20 wheel studs installed and provisions for 1/2 x 20 studs. This system is engineered as a complete bolt on upgrade for Mustang II based builds.
One of the most impactful upgrades you can make to an early Ford Mustang is replacing the factory front suspension with a modern independent front suspension system from Classic Performance Products (CPP). This upgrade solves two major issues at once. Not only does it dramatically improve ride quality and handling, but it also eliminates the bulky factory spring towers that intrude into the engine bay, making engine swaps far easier.
