This Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brake FDLI Pro-Series Park Brake Kit is designed to replace the factory drum brakes on Chevy 12-bolt rear axles with a high-performance disc brake system that includes an internal parking brake. It features forged Dynalite calipers, 12.19-inch vented rotors, and BP-10 pads for better heat control and more consistent braking than traditional drum setups. The internal drum-style park brake is integrated within the rotor assembly, offering a compact solution that supports both everyday driving and more demanding use.

The rotors are available in drilled zinc or black finishes for cooling and corrosion resistance. Caliper finishes include black, red, or polished, and the kit comes with removable center register adapters and rotor registration adapters for accurate centering. Hardware is secured using red Loctite® 271, and the design allows the use of either OEM 7/16-inch studs or upgraded 1/2-inch wheel studs.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

Begin by removing the original drum brake components and confirming that your axle flange diameter, wheel clearance, and offset match the kit specifications. Use the included rotor registration adapters to center the rotor and reduce runout. The caliper brackets are shimmed to fit—typically three 0.035-inch shims for a 2.75-inch offset, or one for 2.81-inch offset. Torque all caliper mounting bolts to 40 ft-lb using red Loctite® 271, and make sure the clinch nuts are fully engaged.
The parking brake cables must be pre-stretched and adjusted only after full system installation. Cables are not included and must be sourced separately. Follow proper brake bleeding procedures using a high-quality fluid such as Wilwood Hi-Temp 570 for best results.

FITMENT AND COMPATIBILITY

This kit is made for Chevrolet 12-bolt rear axles with a maximum flange diameter of 6.61 inches. It supports both OEM 7/16-inch studs and 1/2-inch stud upgrades, and is compatible with many OEM and aftermarket axle housings. Review the included diagrams to confirm wheel, shock, and caliper clearance. Always verify part alignment and hardware fit before modifying or assembling any components. Parking brake cables are not included and should be chosen based on the stud size and axle configuration.
