With the growing popularity of the 1967-72 Ford F100 truck segment, especially for short bed models, Classic Performance Products (CPP) has introduced a long bed frame shortening kit designed for DIY enthusiasts. This new kit eliminates the guesswork from cutting and shortening a long bed F100 frame. What would typically take days for an expert fabricator can now be accomplished in an afternoon with just a drill, a saw, and basic hand tools.
The kit includes a simple template for drilling and cutting the frame, along with a strong, laser-cut C-channel to reattach the shortened frame. Hardware is included to bolt the frame sections together, but welding is recommended for long-term structural rigidity. The template also provides instructions for modifying the rear of the frame to mount a short bed bumper.
CPP’s 1967-72 F100 Long Bed Shortening Kit includes left and right steel templates, left and right C-channels, and all necessary hardware.
Using precision templates that align with factory frame holes, the kit guides you through drilling, cutting, and repositioning the frame for the correct short-bed wheelbase. Heavy-duty internal steel brackets reinforce the C-channel frame rails and are pre-welded on top to eliminate difficult upside-down welding. The system can be fully bolted together first, allowing you to drive the truck to a welding shop before final welding for added strength and safety.

Hi Joe, Although we have not test fit this kit on the F250, we have customer buy and use it but they did have to slightly modify it. Thank you.
This says 67-72 but under fitment lists a 66.. need to know if this kit will work on a 66
The F100 long bed frame shortening kit only fits 1967-1972 year models. We will have the website fixed shortly.
Would this work for a 1979 F150, if not WHEN will you have one?
